Just after Hickstead I moved to DLS Showjumping to work and train with David Simpson on the lead up to leaving for Vilamoura! Indigo and Tj Calon Lan have been going so well. We got packed and ready for 3 days driving, we left on Friday (8th October) and arrive on Sunday (10th October), the horses are all settled in and ready to start jumping on Thursday in the 4*! Hopefully we have a successful 4 weeks 🤞🏻
A good start to the hickstead tour! Our 4yo Gucci Contender really showed us how brave he is with only being his third time in the ring jumping double clear in the 4yos to qualify for his final; where he had the last fence at the end of a long course! New ride for me, 8yo indigo, jumped clear the first day in the 1.30 speed class and then just the last fence in the 1.30 on the second day! Great start to our partnership and ready to step up next week. Tj Calon Lan had an unlucky week but looking forward to turning that around next week.
