Understanding how the body moves, biomechanics, is a vital yet often misunderstood aspect of rehabilitation. After early stage rehab, many patients are not progressed to be fully "match fit". 

In the video below, you can see the rehabilitation of a particularly nasty break of the radius and ulnar, which included surgery.

Before you apply certain exercises to ANY condition, the mechanics must be understood. Make sure you aren't causing more problems. In this example, these bones work together in rotation of the forearm. Therefore, simple extension and flexion of the wrist just wont cut it! For full rehabilitation, there must be strength in the different planes of motion.

This exercise is also good for tennis/golfers elbows.
