Upcoming December & January Clinic Dates for the Diary




Our spring camp will again be at Downlands Equestrian, near Warminster, Wiltshire 

Arrive Friday and go for a hack and a trip to the pub. Then Saturday have 2 lessons, one with Amy working on your flatwork skills and one with Di doing poles/grids/ showjumping. Sunday involves dressage test practice with Amy and x country with Di.

Downlands has great hacking, indoor, outdoor all weather and grass arenas as well as a brilliant xcountry for schooling from 1’ up-to 1 m

Upcoming Clinics

I started having regular 6 weekly block booking lessons with Diana a year ago and what a year I have had. My aim for the year was to start jumping and to complete a one day event, which seemed a
little ambitious as I struggled to stay inside the dressage boards and hadn’t seen a fence let alone
gone over one in 8 years! This combined with a lack of confidence from past experiences meant
Diana would have her work cut out.

Immediately within moments of the first lesson it was highlighted how my position was affecting his
way of going, we then worked on the basics with plenty of homework. Diana uses many various
activities, exercises and methods from poles and cones to beanbags all of which are fun, interesting
but more importantly enlightening (who knew being covered in beanbags made such as difference!).

The 6 weekly reviews bring everything together and although I don’t like talking about myself they
are key in highlighting the positives and negatives and how to move forward with these. These lessons have taught me more than just how to ride and what aids to use. I have also learnt
about the non-physical side of riding, preparation, making a plan, riding the plan, setting 3 mini-
goals, finding the positives even if the plan falls apart and more importantly self-belief.

Diana is great teacher/coach and is obviously knowledgeable but she has a way of instilling
confidence in you, to gentle push your comfort boundaries without over facing you, keeping it
simple and to the point and supportive when the wobbles happen keeping it all in perspective.
So did I hit the goals that I made? I can now stay in a dressage arena and have just completed my
first Novice test with 70%. As for the jumping I managed to fit in 2 one day events both finishing in
the top 10, so it is safe to say I have had an unbelievable year. 

The one thing though above all is I have regained my confidence and fallen back in love riding and have never had so much fun with my horse Billy – all thanks to Diana. Now I have to start the New Year with some new goals, oh dear I
hope I haven’t peaked too early, but this year I’m excited to give them a go!
